Applicants must have lived in a country where the language is spoken for six months before the start of the course (this may be from your academic year abroad). Note: For participation in 2022, the general conditions have confirmed that applicants with a 12-week stay in a relevant country will be considered. To access all our diplomas, you must prove that your level of English allows you to obtain the diploma of your choice. In some cases, we may consider professional qualifications or work experience to meet some of your entry qualifications, for example as proof that you meet subject-specific entry requirements. These degree programs require students to take AP exams in order to apply. *We are aware that SAT specialty tests are no longer available to candidates based in the United States if you had planned to take SAT specialty tests to meet our entry requirements and you are unable to meet our entry requirements, please see the „Selection Test” section below. We call these required grades our standard access requirements. Unless you are an eligible extended access student on an indicator plus, you will be asked to meet at least these lower grade requirements in order to be considered for a place in the relevant program of study. You must also demonstrate your proficiency in the English language in accordance with the requirements listed below. They should be able to demonstrate their commitment and experience in working with children and/or adolescents in formal or informal settings. To prove that you are ready to study at university level, you must have acquired the qualifications you use to meet our entry requirements within the last three academic years prior to your entry date. At the time you apply, you don`t need to have met all of these requirements, but you should aim to meet the requirements within your final year. Please indicate on your UCAS application form all the tests you have taken and wish to take. The Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) is accepted for participation. The degree must contain three Cambridge International A Levels obtained with points that meet the A-level requirements for the programme, including the required subjects. Native speakers of a language (other than English) who have obtained a degree in a language subject that meets the above requirements can undergo training to teach their mother tongue. For example, a French student with a degree in German may complete training to teach German and French in Scotland, provided the applicant meets the residency requirements for both languages. All applicants must meet the minimum university entrance requirements for the program of study to which they are applying and demonstrate through recent academic study that they are ready to study at the college level. To be eligible for admission, you must meet the general admission requirements, the specific requirements of the program of study/major you have chosen (if applicable) and the English language requirements.
We need to make sure that students are well prepared for university-level studies, otherwise there is a risk that they will have difficulty succeeding in the program of study they have chosen. We are therefore looking for evidence of a recent program of study, i.e. usually within three years of the start of studies. If your topic is not listed, for example: International Relations, it means that there are no specific requirements for the specialized exam. For candidates who are not able to pass all the standardized tests required to meet our admission requirements, we may be able to offer our own selection tests. Please note that it is likely that in this way we will not be able to consider applicants to programs where participation is highly competitive, such as the programs of our Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Mathematics. We will consider your performance on these tests as well as your high school grade point average and the grades you earned in honors or AP preparation courses during your junior and senior years.
